FAQ
Everything you'd ask before trusting us
How processing works, where your data goes, what it costs — answered plainly.
No. Documents are sent over TLS for AI extraction, processed in memory, and discarded. Extracted results and history live in a local database on your machine. We never store your files on our servers.
DocRithm finds Tally Prime on your local network and talks to it over Tally’s own HTTP interface. Extracted invoices are matched against your live ledgers and stock items, then posted as vouchers. Ambiguous matches are flagged for review — nothing is posted blind, and your books never leave your network.
Invoices, GST invoices, bills, receipts, purchase and sales orders, bank statements, and 20+ other types including passports and contracts. PDFs (including password-protected ones), images and scans all work — plus you can define custom document types with your own fields.

Better than 99% on field-level extraction for clean scans, and DocRithm tells you when it isn’t sure: low-confidence fields and ambiguous Tally matches are flagged for human review instead of being silently posted.
Never. Purchased credits are yours until you use them — no subscriptions, no monthly waste. The free 25 credits refresh each month.
Yes. A full template engine controls naming — field order, separators, fallbacks — and auto-organization files documents into folders by type, vendor or period. You can preview every rename before it happens.
DocRithm keeps a local history with content hashing. Re-dropping the same file is detected and skipped — no duplicate credits, no duplicate entries in your books.
macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. The desktop app is a fast native shell — drop hundreds of files at once and it keeps up.
Each API key authenticates a desktop install, and you can issue and revoke keys per machine from the dashboard. Usage from all keys draws on one credit balance.
The integration platform — webhooks, public REST API, Google Sheets, Zoho Books, GST exports and WhatsApp summaries — is in active development, with accounting integrations shipping first. Tally Prime is available today.
Checkout runs through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking). We never see or store your card details.
